Is it too late to jump on this bandwagon? If not, then here’s a bit of fun :)
I’m more than ready for some much-needed happy endings. And Hinata. There should always be more Hinata.

Enjoy!

The more I watch Regina the more I realize she is probably the most relatable character on Once. And not just because she was an evil sorceress because who hasn’t been there?
But because she represents what we all have gone through.
Love and Loss.
Trying to cope with the loss, first angrily and bitterly. Eventually coming to peace with the thing or person who caused us our pain in the first place and forgiving them. Sometimes to go as far as befriending and loving them.
And just as life seems to go our way, we become happy again. We’re optimistic that our future is turning around and the evil we left behind is gone for good…. Then.
Our past comes back.
It reminds us of the pain we went through. The monster we were. We thought we were justified in our hate, that it wasn’t cruel but justice. It was right. It was revenge. We see the monster we were and we want to revert back.
It’s easier to go back to being hurt. It’s easier going back to pain. Pain is real and it’s easier to boil in it then move on. Because if we move on then who felt our pain?
As we saw last night, it’s not easy. Regina’s battle for good and evil inside of her is essentially the battle of pain and forgiveness. Both of others and herself.
For Regina, she sees her past as a reminder both of who she was through Marion’s eyes, and who she has become… Through the eyes of the whole town. But it is not their opinions that concern her, only the voice of Marion matters.
Marion represents all the pain she caused. All the hurt that happened because of her. Marion sees a monster. And to complicate it even more, Marion also comes to not only remind Regina who she was but takes what she has left. Her love. And it is there that begins a war with in herself. A war completely fueled by hurt.
Regina, Rumple, Cora, Peter and Zelena have shown us many times… Hurt people, hurt people.
